The experience

We drive out together and climb the summit road through the forest. It’s steady rather than steep, roughly 18 km up and back, with a ranger escort because buffalo roam the park. At the top: views across Machakos, a picnic and summit photos.

    Depart Nairobi

    Pickup at the CBD meeting point.

  2. 8:30 am

    Summit climb

    Guided hike up, lunch at the summit, then descend.

    Back in town

    Drop-off at the CBD meeting point.
